I'm a pyrotechnician living in Port Moody, BC (West Coast). In addition to doing displays such as Canada Day and New Year's Eve I'm also part of the local crew for Celebration of Light (this will mark my 20th year working the event), and am an instructor for both display fireworks and FX pyro through the Explosives Regulatory Division which handles certification in Canada.

I also work in the motion picture industry doing special effects, but I definitely blow up more stuff doing fireworks displays.
