  • Hello from Dex Tee of NW NJ (and NE PA)

Hello Pyros! I'm from northwest New Jersey (the land of the not-so-free), and spend lots of time in northeast Pennsylvania.
I've been shooting shows since 1981 (ah, the good old DOT days), and got my Type-54 license a couple of years ago, and shoot some pro shows now as well.

Kindly check out my YouTube channel, where I have started putting up product demos of both new and old items, along with data placards:

I do not get paid for making or posting the videos .. my hope is to get enough views so that vendors will give me the product to shoot, record, and post for viewers.
A further goal is to post videos of mixed products being shot together, so others can see those combined effects and consider using them in their own shows.

I look very forward to these forums to both build and support our strong pyro community.
"Can't we all just light fireworks and get along?" Cheers, -Dex

    Welcome! Dex Tee.
like your thought of mixing products together in demo shoots. For those people who are well- learned in posting videos on Youtube, it would also be informative for them to bookmark product that is used in their display shows. I know of some instances were this has been done. But, most backyard display posters don't do this.

Shooter, that really is a great idea. I'm not sure how to do that on the video itself, but I can surely indicate in the comments what time certain products or effects hit.
Also, I NEED a couple of
Bluegrass Pyrotechnic Guild shirts if they exist … I love both Pyro and Bluegrass, so if you have shirts, please send me a message and I'd love to buy them for me and my best bud.
